The Love Field Modernization Program (LFMP) has made the commitment to sustainable practices in the design and construction of the Love Field Terminal Complex. The LFMP will seek to design and construct the main terminal facility and new concourse to be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver Certifiable. The LEED rating system is a voluntary, consensus based, and market driven, rating system developed by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) to define and measure "green buildings". The system sets forth a series of performance standards to certify the design and construction of buildings.
