The Love Field Modernization Program (LFMP) will renovate and expand Love Field - creating a cohesive, modern facility that will serve the needs of Dallas citizens and travelers for many years to come. The LFMP renovations include a new centralized concourse with 20 gates, a remodeled lobby, expanded baggage claim area and a new ticketing wing.

West Pedestrian Bridge Demolition
Work on the West Pedestrian Bridge started in April
In February 2011 the West Pedestrian Bridge connecting Garage A and the upper-level of Terminal 2 (Southwest Airlines) was permanently closed to the public. Starting April 2011, the work began on demolishing the bridge and columns, which will continue through May 2011. Demolition of the bridge is part of the Love Field Modernization Program and will allow for roadway expansion near the current terminal main entrances, including widened and additional lanes.
Please note that road traffic may be rerouted during the bridge demolition and continue as roadway construction continues through late 2011.
