100_5378

The lower level of Cedar Springs Road (shown in picture) will be closed 11 p.m. Friday, June 15, to 5 a.m. Sunday, June 17.

The lower level of Cedar Springs Road (Herb Kelleher Way) in front of Terminal 2 (Southwest) will be temporarily closed this weekend. All passenger drop-off and pick-up will occur on the upper level roadway, including private vehicles, Parking Shuttles, Rental Cars and Hotel vans.

  • Closure starts 11 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012

  • Lanes reopen 5 a.m. Sunday morning, June 17, 2012

All traffic will be directed to the upper level of Cedar Springs. Please be aware of lane closures and redirected traffic and allow for extra travel time.

If you dropping off passengers:

  • Terminal 2: Drop-off of passengers will temporarily be in front of the main entrance of the terminal on the upper level of Cedar Springs.

  • Terminal 1: Drop-off of passengers remains in front of the terminal entrance.

If you are picking up passengers::

  • Park and wait for passengers in Garages A or B to help ease traffic congestion.

  • Wait in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot until your passenger contacts you and is ready to be picked up.

If you are traveling from Garages A or B to Terminal 2:

  • Passengers parked in the garages need to take the elevators to level three and use the Sky Bridge and moving walkways to get to Terminal 2. Access from the ground level to Terminal 2 will not be available.

There is no parking curbside in front of the terminals, and this will be strictly enforced.

This temporary closure is due to the construction progress on the lower roadway level, which is part of the overall expansion of Cedar Springs and modernization of Dallas Love Field.
